COMING SOON TO A BOOKSTORE NEAR YOU

I’m lucky enough to count as a friend Jef Mallett, creator of the comic strip “Frazz” (read it; it’s GOOD).   On December 25, 2005, his cartoon showed kids complaining about a parent — a nurse, a police officer — having to work on Christmas.   One kid says, "My dad is working on Christmas, too.  He's taking over another guy's shift."  Another kid says, "Why would he do that?"  The first kid says, "Because our family is Jewish, and he's nice."

There’s an old line, especially among our immigrant grandparents.   When something happens, Izzy says to Tevye, “Is it good for the Jews?”  (Henry Ford published anti-Semitic newspaper articles; that was not good for the Jews.  The abdication of Edward VIII, a Nazi sympathizer, was good for the Jews; thank you, Mrs. Simpson, for what you inadvertently did.)  Jef Mallett is good for the Jews.   Return the favor by reading his new book, “Trizophrenia.”  It’s a mechiah

Jef's Web site is http://www.jefmallett.net/   You're gonna love it.

  1. Some of you have been asking about this, so I'll save you a trip to Google. Wallis Simpson was the "shameless hussy" whom Edward VIII fell in love with; but he couldn't marry her because she was a divorcee (oooh, scandal). He was the first English king to abdicate, saying he could no longer continue to fulfill his duties “without the woman I love.”

  2. Jef Mallet is also a friend of mine. Let me add that he is also good for the Gentiles.
    Buy his book.
